Bella Simone was established in early 2014 in New York City. Believing that the market was missing a more sophisticated point of view, as a then first-time mom, I created Bella Simone. My first line of soft-sole footwear with classic, understated styling was launched on Etsy. We began as a handmade baby shoes company, aimed at a traditional yet modern aesthetic to mimic adult shoes but provide a fit suitable for infants.

I tried to pay particular attention to the often neglected boys’ business. The market had very few options for boys. Taking inspiration from my husband’s wardrobe we made “littleman” looks, from fringe-trimmed loafers to perforated-leather low-top booties.

We then started a girls’ assortment which included ballerina styles embellished with rhinestones, embossed leather accents, ribbon ties and other details with a sophisticated color palette and materials such as metallic and pony hair.
We have been featured in Vogue.com, Parents magazine, various blogs and Earnshaw’s magazine. We are currently venturing into our first clothing collection, starting with our “Don’t be Mean” Collection focusing on an anti-bullying message.

With a careful combination of contemporary styles and various materials, we are constantly thinking of new ways to integrate fashion and function into our products that appeals to both parents and kids alike.
